Robert P. Morgan
Bob is an Executive Vice President of Northern Trust and Managing 
Director for 50 South Capital. He has management responsibility for 
the firm and is Chair of the 50 South Capital Investment Committee. 
He had previously been Director of Private Equity, a position he held 
since co-founding the Private Equity funds group in 2000.  50 South 
Capital is a $17.5 billion alternative assets investment firm that is a 
group within The Northern Trust Company.  50 South Capital invests in 
buyout, venture capital, hedge fund, and alternative credit funds 
globally, and is active in secondaries and co-investments.   50 South 
Capital has also been the long-time advisor to the Illinois Growth & 
Innovation Fund.   
Prior to joining 50 South Capital, he worked as a Director at Frye-Louis 
Capital Advisors, LLC (FLCA), a Chicago-based private equity 
investment manager. Prior to joining FLCA, he worked for Heller 
Financial, Inc. (now Antares Capital), a middle-market commercial 
finance company.  Bob was a Senior Vice President at Heller and was 
responsible for its private equity funds programs. He has invested in 
hundreds of private equity funds covering the buyout, venture capital, 
secondaries, co-investments, alternative credit and international 
markets. 
Bob received his B.A. in economics from Wake Forest University and an 
MBA from Emory University. He is a former board member for the 
Illinois Venture Capital Association and sits on several fund advisory 
boards. 
Stanley C. Golder Award
The Stanley C. Golder Award was created in memory of a 
founder of the private equity industry.  The Golder Award honors 
individuals who have made profound and lasting contributions to 
the private equity industry in Illinois.
